Unified Back End
PNAP Cloud organizations are allocated 10.0.0.0/24 (255.255.255.0) network. The first 10 IP addresses are reserved and any VMs provisioned, starting with 10.0.0.11-150. To avoid IP Address conflicts we recommend that any non-PNAP Cloud servers connecting to the Unified Network are assigned 10.0.0.151 and upwards using 255.255.255.0 as a subnet mask. The gateway setting is optional. If using ESXi, you do not need to specify the VLAN, use the default option of 'None'.
To achieve connectivity between your dedicated servers or Colocation environment to a PNAP Cloud VLAN, complete one of the following actions:
NOTE: Please refer to your specific operating system or device’s technical manual for instructions on configuring IP addresses.
- Update the IP addresses on your dedicated server’s Back-end Network Interface to the same IP Scheme as Secured Cloud (i.e. 10.0.0.0/24).
- Configure a secondary set of IP addresses on your dedicated server’s Back-end Network Interface using the 10.0.0.0/24 scheme.
Once the Unified Network has been set up you will be able to communicate privately between your colocation and/or dedicated servers and the PNAP Cloud network. This enables private communication to public cloud VMs as well as the ability to use network storage with your colocation and/or dedicated servers.
