PCI DSS

What is PCI DSS?

The Payment Card Industry Security Standard (PCI) and Data Security Standard (DSS or PCI DSS) are a widely accepted set of both physical and electronic security mandates designed to protect cardholder data and online consumer transactions. PCI DSS requires any business that accepts, stores, or transmits credit card payments or electronic funds to be in compliance. These standards protect consumers, financial and credit card institutions by standardizing the secure treatment of all delicate credit card information.
