I have a closed-loop subscription process already, but I'm still receiving complaints. Why?


Make sure that the process for removing consumers from the mailing list is included in every correspondence sent to mailing list members. A link that automatically cancels subscriptions when clicked is preferred. Alternately, you can link to a site specifically geared to cancelling subscriptions or include an email address for subscription cancellation. Any cancellation actions initiated by the consumer should be completed immediately.
